Christopher Peacock returns to his origins . . . all new recordings of his solo piano compositions. These carefully refined and polished re-recordings reflect the beautiful artistry and interpretation that only years of performing live can provide. Companion sheet music is also available.

“This recording returns to my origins… my original solo piano music. Since many of you have requested sheet music, I began revisiting each composition, thus creating the “manuscript.”

My Yamaha C7 Disklavier grand piano automatically records the notes into the computer (no pen and paper involved!) and with a bit of editing (thank you Donovan Johnson!), creates sheet music true to the recorded versions.

1) A GIFT FROM THE SEA (from Island Life) The waves push toward the shore, rhythmically breaking on the sand, leaving a gift from the sea for our discovery on land.

2) BUTTERFLY (from Traveler) In loving memory of my mother, Jane Moore Peacock.

3) ORCASONG (from Island Life) Inspired by the majestic Orca Whale pods that call the San Juan Islands home.

4) REUNION (from Island Time) Inspired by a small country church in Wisconsin that sat like an island on the horizon to celebrate me home. Now a different church, bell tower reaching toward the sky, sits on an island to celebrate me home.

5) SEASHORE SALLY (from Oceans) Sally’s still selling seashells by the seashore!

6) FLOWS CALMLY (from Painting Paradise: In the Garden) I wrote this the week of September 11, 2001. The events of the time made me seek a more peaceful place.

7) KUULEI (from Island Life) My youngest daughter, Cara Kuulei (beautiful flower), still exudes the same playfulness that she did when I wrote this song for her at age five.

8) JAYLÉNA (from Oceans) A solid foundation and a beautiful melody – the song and my wife… I love you.

9) AN ISLAND ON AN ISLAND (from Island Life) Inspired by a favorite place… an island in Mountain Lake on Orcas Island.

10) ENCOUNTER (from Island Life) The wind picks up, our sails fill, and we begin our voyage to seek an encounter with the great travelers of the ocean realm.

11) IN THE GARDEN (from Painting Paradise: In the Garden) In the garden, the design is created, the seeds are planted, and the sun and rain touch the soil. A perfect moment – when mental inspiration, physical motivation and spiritual grace meet.

12) CHILD'S PLAY (from Island Life) Island living is simplicity’s here and now, is pure and simple, is child’s play.
